Fam. Vd Wal enthusiastic about Triotrac

“Fast, efficient and reliable.”

On 19th May, the van der Wal company in the Netherlands began using a new Triotrac self-propelled mixer feeder. This 24m³ Triotrac has been  supplied by agricultural machinery company Kuperus Oudehorne. The keys were officially handed over by Gooitzen Wiebe Kuperus.

Already a loyal Trioliet user for many years:
Haye and Hieke van der Wal's company have been using a variety of Trioliet machines to feed their livestock since the mid-nineties. In the beginning they used a Trioliet silage cutter (the so-called Trioliet "Blockbuster"), and since August 2003 they have been feeding with a Triomix S2 1600 self-loading mixer feeder.

Each day, five loads were made using the Triomix S2 for 200 dairy cows, dry cows and calves. The company grew to 350 dairy cows and the Triomix made way for their first self-propelled mixer feeder. The Triomix S2 1600 worked extremely well, and, according to Haye, it was the most energy-efficient machine on the farm during its operational years. The maintenance costs were extremely low, and the fixed shear blade only needed replacing once in more than 10 years!

According to van der Wal senior, choosing a Trioliet machine again was logical. "We once had a problem with the Trioliet silage cutter. Trioliet reacted efficiently and appropriately to this by taking the machine back to the factory, repairing it and delivering it back to us as new. All at no cost! We really appreciated that and it gave us great confidence in the Trioliet product and as importantly, after sales support."

Triotrac 2 2400:
The Triotrac 2 2400 is equipped with air conditioning, 20mm mixing augers, a conveyor belt on the front and two ZK discharge slides on the back, with four-wheel drive and steer. Thanks to the latter function it is now easier to manoeuvre in the feeding aisles and at the silos. As well as this, Triotrac has a separate weigh indicator on the right-hand side to help give exact weighing’s while loading straw and hay. An extra camera on the right-hand side ensures you have an optimal view when unloading.

Grass, corn, brewer's grains, straw and concentrate can all be loaded using the Triotrac. The main reason for van der Wal acquiring a Triotrac was to be able to work more quickly and efficiently. Thanks to its larger capacity, they can load more quickly and securely. Furthermore, a 5-metre-high silage stack poses no problem for the Triotrac.

According to Trioliet's Area Manager Eef Kisteman, there is one more notable fact to mention: "We have never demonstrated the Triotrac at the van der Wal's company. The van der Wal family went to see a cattle farmer colleague in the area who works with a Triotrac, and shortly after ordered their own Triotrac." Now that is a real sign of confidence!

Service is important:
Service is very important to Haye van der Wal. That is why he ordered the Triotrac from dealer Kuperus Ouderhorne. Kuperus has already supplied  a number of Triotracs, and will soon be delivering one more to a contractor.
