Feeding 2,500 milking cows and managing 5,000 head total is no easy job. But for Scott Bailey, it’s a routine he knows well. “I started here in 1995. So I’ve been here almost 30 years feeding cows.”
Each day, Scott and his feed team mix 16 loads of feed using seven different rations: “Four different milking cow rations, a couple of heifer rations, a calf ration and one for the dry cows.” It’s a demanding scheduleand it calls for a heavy duty feed mixer that can handle the pressure.
Back in 2013, Aurora Ridge Dairy purchased their first Trioliet feed mixer wagon from dealer Fingerlakes Dairy (US). With growing demands we were ready for an upgrade with something more capacity and better efficiency.
